players in the Baltics?

Last week in Vilnius, Lithuania, the 7^th Baltic M&A and Private Equity Forum gathered leading representatives of private equity and venture capital funds, investment banking, consultants, lawyers, business executives and owners from the Baltic region.

Apart from enjoying a great platform for establishing contacts and spending time with peers, Forum participants also had an opportunity to learn about latest trends and market news.

Polish investor: too bad we missed Estonian Taxify

“The Baltic countries offer many investment opportunities. We should be doing more there”, said Tomas Czechowicz, founder of Poland’s leading private equity group, MCI Capital, at last week’s Baltic M&A and Private Equity Forum in Vilnius.

Deal landscape: What’s next in the Baltics in 2018?

“Are Baltic companies too small ever to be sold?” asked Žygimantas Mauricas, Chief Economist at Luminor. “It seems the Baltic tiger is sleeping and some might even call it a Baltic kitty. But if you look at the data, Baltic companies are not too small to be sold.”

Consolidation trends prove that 40% market share need no longer be a full stop

“Consolidation in the Baltics is unavoidable”, says Žygintas Mačėnas, co-founder and Managing Partner of SUMMA Advisers. “Saturated markets, limited organic growth prospects, the growing importance of cost-effectiveness and globalization pressure are the main trends behind the decreasing number of new market entrants and why consolidation is becoming the new norm”.

Baltic M&A and Private Equity Awards go to Luminor, Food Union, and European Lingerie Group

On 4 October the winners of the Baltic M&A and Private Equity Awards were announced as part of the Baltic M&A and Private Equity Forum. Luminor, Food Union, and European Lingerie Group were recognised for their annual achievements.
