Andrus Kattel, a senior associate, has been practising law since 1997.

Andrus is one of the best known insurance law (including litigation) specialists in Estonia. Before joining SORAINEN he was an in-house lawyer for eight years with If P&C Insurance, the leading insurance company in Estonia. Since 2001, Andrus has been a member of the Insurance Dispute Committee established for resolving disputes under compulsory insurance contracts, such as MTPL insurance, liability insurance for notaries and attorneys. In 2002, he was elected to the panel of the Insurance Dispute Committee, a position he still occupies. Andrus offers extensive expertise in insurance litigation in the Estonian court system, representing clients in many of the largest cases on the market. He has also advised on litigation cases in transport, maritime, real estate and construction matters, and non-contractual damages disputes.
