Kadri Kallas, a specialist counsel, is head of the Restructuring & Insolvency Team and the Private Equity Practice in Estonia. She has been practising law since 1998.

Before joining SORAINEN, Kadri worked at the London office of a US based international law firm. She has experience in various types of M&A (both in asset and share based M&A) in different sectors, including energy and infrastructure. Her private equity and venture capital experience includes advising on establishment of funds as well as investments made by those funds. She has acted for numerous Nordic and international strategic and financial investors, both sellers and buyers.

Kadri also has significant experience in restructuring and insolvency advice, while she has advised on major domestic and cross border restructuring cases over the past couple of years, as well as advising on insolvency matters.

Kadri is a recommended practitioner in many publications, including:

• The Legal 500, where Kadri is "singled out for her 'knowledge of Estonian business' and 'excellent service to foreign clients'" in corporate and M&A practice; and
• Chambers Europe, which recommends her as 'up and coming' individual in corporate/commercial practice and comments that "Kadri Kallas is well regarded by clients, who say: 'We need someone to make things happen, and she does`."

Kadri has authored many articles in her area of practice and she regularly speaks at seminars on corporate and M&A issues.
