SORAINEN lawyers share their know-how by lecturing to law students in prominent local universities and abroad. We support student organisations as well as debating and moot court competitions at local and international level. Additionally we have sponsored talented students in their international legal and business studies abroad.
We also offer various scholarships to law students. For example, since 2004 SORAINEN Estonia has organised a scholarship contest entitled "Make your master thesis work for you", a tradition we plan to continue in the future. The main requirements for applying are that a thesis must be graded "A" (the highest possible grade) and must offer practical value.
"When I first saw the announcement of the scholarship contest, which SORAINEN Estonia organises annually, I actually didn't think I would get the opportunity to participate. At that time defence of my thesis was still far ahead and I didn't dare to hope that my thesis would be valued highly enough to meet the requirements of the contest. To my great surprise, it went otherwise. Although I also didn't dare to hope that my thesis would even be acknowledged at the contest, I won! Of course I was glad about the prize money, but in my opinion such an acknowledgement of a thesis is even more significant. That's what made me really happy and brought me self confidence. I would definitely recommend participating in the scholarship contest because there is nothing to lose and so much to gain." /Anni Kruuse/
