Privatisation in Belarus

Dear users of the SORAINEN Belarus Privatisation Helpline,

The 2011 privatisation campaign in Belarus is over: all scheduled auctions and contests were over by 16 December. Based on our experience, we can forecast that no new sales under standard procedure will happen until May or June 2012 as enterprises subject to privatisation need to prepare their annual balance sheets and reports. The 2012 privatisation list is currently being reviewed by the government. We will publish at least the most interesting part of it once it is officially adopted by the Belarusian Council of Ministers. In the meantime, we encourage you to read the useful information placed below, and also send your questions about Belarus privatisation opportunities via the Helpline and follow the information that we will be offering on this page.

Sincerely yours,
The SORAINEN Privatisation team
