About me

As co-head of the firm’s Real Estate and Construction team in Lithuania, my daily professional life is linked to a team of 15 highly skilful and successful legal advisers, who are recognised both by clients and legal directories as the strongest team of real estate lawyers in Lithuania. Being at the steer of this smart, hard-working and talented team is the source of my professional drive and inspiration.

Professional highlights

Long-standing player. In over two decades of a career as a real estate lawyer, I have gained experience in all fields related to the real estate and construction business, including all types of transactions, litigation and regulatory matters. My strengths are a profound knowledge of the real estate business and understanding clients’ matters in the wider context.

Versatile and agile. Unlike many other lawyers, who choose either to be transactional lawyers or litigation attorneys, I am versatile and often do both types of work. Although this is a demanding professional lifestyle, it opens up different perspectives, allows me to maintain a practical approach and ensures the sharpness of the solutions I deliver to clients.

Development advice from A to Z. In recent years I have been primarily focusing on assignments related to real estate development. I feel passionate about working hand in hand with urban developers, architects and engineers, and contributing to development of Lithuanian cities, new generation industry growth in the regions, planning and construction of landmark infrastructure objects. My contribution in these projects usually starts with finding the right land plot for the project and evaluation stage and lasts throughout completion of the project. Of course, Sorainen work is not over yet – we are always ready to assist in project-related lease, sale, financing, management, insurance, taxation and other matters. Knowing the project right from its birth helps us craft the most efficient solutions for our clients.

Zoning, heritage, protected areas. I am one of the very few lawyers in Lithuania who deeply specialize in zoning, heritage protection and regulation of protected areas. I have taken part in many precedent-setting cases and advised prominent developers on dealing with issues related to zoning, heritage protection and protected areas.

Speaking for developers. As a board member of the Lithuanian Developers Association, I contribute to legislation processes and to solving questions that are relevant for all developers as well as maintaining close working relations with state authorities in charge of supervision and regulation of the real estate and construction sectors.
