Experience

Associate Stasys Zelenekas specialises in energy law and also advises on competition law, infrastructure & regulatory and administrative law matters. He has been practicing law since 2012.

Stasys advises foreign and Lithuanian companies on energy regulatory and project development issues, having gained professional experience in renewable energy project development, electricity production, electric power production and trade, energy projects financing, as well the project control process. He has consulted on implementation of projects that ensure Lithuania’s energy independence. These projects required highly complex solutions, including competition, administrative, EU and international law as well as other areas of legal expertise.

He regularly prepares proposals for legislative and public authorities for improvements to legislation, as well as proposing new legislative projects and participates in considerations and discussions. In addition to contributing to improvements in renewable energy, tobacco control, gambling services, arms and ammunition control laws, Stasys has contributed to changes in secondary legislation.

In 2017 Stasys was awarded a prestigious MIDS – Young ICCA scholarship to attend the Geneva LL.M. in International Dispute Settlement.
