Ann Laevskaya (PhD in Law) has substantial experience in assisting banking and corporate clients in Europe, Russia, China and Middle East as well as global and regional financial institutions with structuring and implementation of a wide range of finance transactions with Belarusian counterparties. She prepared and negotiated various types of security instruments and advised banking institutions on intercreditor agreements, participation agreements in consortium loans and structuring the security under syndicated and consortium loans. Ann constantly advises clients on banking and financial services regulatory matters and currency control issues. In spring 2012 she completed a secondment in Banking & Capital Markets practice of one of the largest global law firms.

Besides banking and finance issues, Ann has extensive experience in advising clients on various aspects of corporate transactions, including privatisation deals and private equity investments and disposals in banking, energy, IT, food and retail sectors.

In addition, Ann is focused on developments in renewables energy sector and experienced with cleaner production financing programs, which are gathering pace in Belarus. She led a team of lawyers advising on implementation of municipal sludge treatment projects and landfill gas projects as well as on cleaner production financing. She also drafted and successfully negotiated investment agreements with the Republic of Belarus, related to implementation of investment projects in energy sector.

Ann has been recognised as Up and Coming for banking & finance practice by Chambers Europe.

Ann holds a qualification from the Belarusian Ministry of Justice to supply legal services.
