Kaspar Endrikson is a senior associate advising mainly energy and infrastructure companies and specialising in European and Estonian law relating to network sectors including electricity, gas, district heating and water.

Kaspar has extensive experience of advising energy and infrastructure companies. For example, he has assisted vertically integrated natural gas companies on ensuring compliance with requirements arising from the EU’s third energy package, incl unbundling sales and transmission operations and related corporate restructuring. He has also advised energy companies on issues related to tariff setting and approval with the regulatory authority.

Kaspar regularly advises companies on current changes in legislation. For example, he has helped protect the rights of renewable energy producers during the legislative drafting process with the aim of amending the current renewable energy support scheme. He has also assisted clients in issues related to recent amendments to the main legal acts regulating the energy sector.

In the field of competition law, Kaspar advises on the full spectrum of issues relating to state aid regulation. For example, he has advised the Tartu City Government in relation to possibilities of supporting air traffic, has assisted a key state aid provider in issues related to general block exemption regulation and unlawful state aid, and conducted state aid training for National Audit Office staff.

Before joining Sorainen, Kaspar worked at the Estonian Competition Authority as a legal adviser in the Energy and Water Regulatory Division where his duties included eg resolving disputes between electricity and gas market participants and representing the authority in court disputes and at the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER).
