Laimonas Skibarka has been the office managing partner of SORAINEN Lithuania since 2013. He currently heads the M&A and Private Equity Team in Lithuania, which includes the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Private Equity and Privatisation Practices. Laimonas has been practising law since 1997.

Laimonas has extensive experience in advising foreign and local companies and private equity funds in company acquisitions and sales, mergers, joint ventures and other corporate transactions. According to the statistics of Mergermarket, Laimonas is No 1 among individual lawyers by total value of advised major M&A transactions in the Baltics (credited for 20 transactions with a total disclosed value of EUR 2.608 billion during 2005-2012). He has also gained valuable experience in international M&A and corporate transactions while working at the London office of Allen & Overy, a major international law firm (in 2005-2006). Laimonas is also active in advising foreign investors on major FDI projects in Lithuania and in energy projects.
