What is new in taxes?

Place: Albert Hotel, Dzirnavu iela 33, Riga
Time: 31 Jan 2012 15:00 - 17:00
Working language: Latvian

SORAINEN invited clients and others interested to a seminar “What is new in taxes?” (presentation available here) on 31 January.

As of 1 January, a range of quite important novelties have come into force, though not as many as the previous year. Most of these are probably already known, but at a seminar with mutual exchanges some nuances usually appear that have not been previously thought of or that have not been so topical.

Among others, the seminar reviewed the following topics:

  • reverse VAT in construction;
  • CIT news at 01.01.2012;
  • PIT news at 01.01.2012;
  • declaration and amnesty of natural persons' property and liabilities;
  • new rates of nature resource tax;
  • real estate tax news at 01.01.2012;
  • micro-enterprise tax news at 01.01.2012;
  • excise tax, social security contributions and other tax news.

At the seminar, SORAINEN Latvia partner Jānis Taukačs and associate Alisa Leškoviča talked about the most significant recent news in the tax industry.
