On 3-4 May, IBA Legal Business Conference took place in Vilnius, Lithuania. Aku Sorainen, senior partner with SORAINEN, was a co-chair of the marketing break-out sessions on "Shifting Client Expectations" and "„Targeting new clients in tough times“ on 4 May. The sessions examined what works best today at law firm marketing and various questions related to the targeting new clients in tough times.

IBA Legal Business Conference was organised by the European Regional Forum and the Law Firm Management Committee of IBA. Conference featured sessions on law firm management, including:

  • law firm leadership and law firm life cycles
  • structuring partnership for success
  • pricing models and cost management
  • client development and management
  • growth of legal business and case study on international strategy

with partners from leading international law firms, among others Allen&Overy, Ashurst, Freshfields, Salans, Slaughter&May, White&Case and more!

The Conference also hosted the Client Advisory Forum with the General Counsel from Audi, IKEA, Nordic Investment Bank, Novartis Group, SEB and TeliaSonera.

Delegates had additional opportunity to participate in break-out sessions which addressed law firm Marketing, Quality and Knowledge Management, Talent Management and Career Session for young lawyers.
