Forum: The 18th Baltic Financial Forum’s seminar "Topical issues within tax and accountancy policy"

The Baltic Financial Forum is an annual top level conference on finance and economic issues, this year it took place on 21 September 2012 for the 18th time. The forum is organised by the Ministry of Finance, the Association of Commercial Banks of Latvia and the Latvian Business School. As in previous years, part of the forum was dedicated to a seminar on topical issues within the fields of accountancy and tax. The seminar participants had the opportunity to find out and compare opinions from a number of specialists and consultants and to receive expert replies to their questions.

SORAINEN tax manager Dace Everte spoke at the seminar on issues relating to VAT application.

Other seminar topics included:

  • topical issues within the field of direct tax;
  • advantages and drawbacks of outsourced accountancy services;
  • other news and changes to tax administration and SRS operations;
  • tax risk management;
  • news of indirect tax legislation.
