International conference: Audit, Taxes and Accounting 2012

RMS-FORUM is organising the 15th annual international conference Audit, Taxes and Accounting 2012 on 7 December this year. SORAINEN Latvia partner Jānis Taukačs, regional head of the SORAINEN Tax & Customs Team, will feature among the conference speakers.

The conference will assess and analyse the most topical current issues in relation to accounting, audit and tax changes. The conference this year will cover the following topics:

  • What changes are expected in Latvian tax laws?
  • How to challenge the tax administration?
  • Would public company audits help to secure investor trust and confidence?
  • Does the Latvian tax system facilitate return on investments?
  • How can an in-house auditor prevent in-company fraud?
  • Does the crisis affect the significance of the auditor's profession?

Responses to these and many other questions will be available from accounting and auditing experts. Speakers invited to the discussion also include Ilmārs Šņucins from the Latvian Ministry of Finance, Dace Pelēkā from the Latvian State Revenue Service, Rita Ilisson – finance analyst from Estonia, Andrejs Ponomarjovs from the Latvian Internal Audit Council, and others.
