|Your hardest day at Sorainen? The last one. I had to leave a team of very nice people.|
|Alumni interview (16 September 2016)|
|2013-present||Sales and Marketing Director at Plasta|
|2011-2013||Sorainen, Head of Business Development & Marketing|
I have immersed myself in production, venturing into a new and unknown area. I also did this before joining the law firm. I do not want to remember the first year in my current position. It was extremely difficult. I kept telling myself: “What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.” :)
It changes over time. Honesty with myself and with others is the most important now. Four years ago, I would have said “positive energy and drive”. This is still very important to me, but no longer No. 1.
I could use figures here. At the start, I had a number of classic production problems, and now it is luxury that causes them :) Production has been tuned up, customers have been segmented, and the number of orders we get exceeds our production capacity. It took us four years to achieve this.
The last one. I had to leave a team of very nice people.
The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer by Siddhartha Mukherjee
It is a good book of expertise, not a purely historical encyclopaedia. This book can help take a very rational approach to tricky situations.
Time spent with my family.
Self-expression and achievement of results at work.
Time just for myself – running and listening to audio books. War and Peace by Tolstoy has encouraged me to listen to audio books.
Throughout the first year after leaving, I asked myself, what have I done? And last time I met Tomas Kontautas two months ago, I thought I would love to party with them all.
At the beginning, the word “sales” caused stress. I hope that by the time I left, this word had become more pleasant to hear.
Alumni meetings and the Vilnius Marathon.
