  Advising Barclays Bank, a major global financial services provider, and its subsidiary Barclays Technology Centre on various complex employment issues and adoption of Barclays global working patterns in relation to establishment and operation of the Barclays Technology Centre in Lithuania.

  Facilitating an international recycling services company in restructuring its employment relations. Services involved preparing new documentation such as employment contracts, material liability agreements and workforce rental agreements.

  Advising Quintiles, the world's largest pharmaceutical services company, on employment agreements and related company policies in the Baltics.

  Consulting Whirlpool Latvia, the Latvian subdivision of a global home appliance manufacturer and marketer, on termination of employment contract with its national manager and drafting all necessary documentation.

  Consulting airBaltic, the national airline of Latvia, on vital labour law issues within restructuring of the company's Lithuanian operations.

  Advising AGA, a member of the Linde Group and northern Europe's leading industrial gas company, on issues related to termination of an employment contract.

• TRANSFER OF EMPLOYEES

  Assisting Hewlett-Packard, one of the world's largest global information technology companies, on transfer of employees in relation to its global merger with Electronic Data Systems.

  Advising Merck Serono, an innovative pharmaceutical company headquartered in Switzerland, on restructuring its business operations in the Baltics, including establishing new legal entities and transfer of employees from existing representative offices.

• EMPLOYMENT DISPUTES

  Successfully representing DHL, a world leader in courier, express and parcel delivery services, in Vilnius City Court in a dispute over employment termination.

  Representing Palink, a major Lithuanian retail network, in a court dispute over employment termination. The matter involved dismissal issues and Trade Union activities and was concluded by a settlement agreement.

  Representing Hanzas Maiznīca, a leading Latvian bread producer, in an employment dispute against a former employee alleging illegal termination of his employment contract. The court dismissed all claims and found in favour of SORAINEN's client.

  Advising Nielsen, a leading global marketing and media information company, on legal matters related to the effect of local data protection laws on issues pertaining to existing and potential employees.

  Consulting CMS Cameron McKenna London, a leading organisation of European law firms, on employee data transfer issues on the merger of two global insurance companies.
