Ģirts Rūda is a partner, regional head of the Real Estate & Construction Team, which includes the Real Estate, Construction and Environment Practices. He is also regional head of the Restructuring & Insolvency Team. Ģirts has been practising law since 1994.

Ģirts has over four years experience in the largest Latvian commercial banks. He has consulted major Latvian and foreign real estate companies, financial institutions, state and municipal institutions. He offers extensive knowledge of the Latvian real estate and banking sectors.

Ģirts has assisted foreign and local private and public financial institutions in projects involving loan, leasing and PPP, as well as security and bankruptcy issues. He offers broad experience in Latvian and international law in the fields of finance, real estate, insolvency and commercial matters. He has delivered courses on banking, insolvency and international trade at the University of Latvia, Riga Graduate School of Law and the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga. He is a regular speaker at local and international conferences and seminars.
