Mozyr Timbermill is part of Kaamos Group, one of the biggest players on the real estate and timber market in the Baltic region.
We assisted the client in preparing to implement an investment project worth EUR 25 million to construct a new timbermill in Mozyr with a planned production volume of 250,000 m3 of sawn timber. This project is co-financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Our team, consisting of partner Kiryl Apanasevich; senior associate Aliaksei Daryin; and associates Alesia Khadasevich and Olga Solovyanchik, assisted the client in performing legal due diligence on real estate and related risk assessment prior to acquisition of the territory for timbermill construction and rights of use to the utilities networks. We also assisted the client in negotiation with the local authorities on the terms of the planned investment project and in settlement of disagreements with the neighbouring land user. As the project moved on to the implementation stage, our team assisted the client in negotiating the terms of the construction contract.
