About me

I am an associate with the firm’s Corporate & Regulatory and Dispute Resolution practice groups with a passion for regulatory issues and media law.

Professional highlights

Media law. I was the creator of a research on the possibilities to introduce various media ombudsman institutions in Latvia which was carried out at the request of the Latvian Journalists’ Association, and I have assisted them with other issues as well. In 2018, I took part in the Youth Board in the legendary UK organisation rallying for free speech, Index on Censorship. Together with my team I won the Price Media Moot Court Competition North-European round 2018 – this is the most important media law competition and is organised by Oxford University.

Advertising and consumer protection. What You as a seller must include in Your webpage and which terminology is better to be avoided – those are the questions I work with every week.

2018 parliamentary elections. I provided answers to all possible questions about the Saeima 2018 and other pre-election campaigning issues and limitations for the initiative “Lielā svītrošana” and other pre-election projects.

Connections to Germany. As the one who is asked to contact German institutions, research issues on the German legal system or explain what a document is about, I have a strong understanding of how the Latvian and German legal systems compare.

International experience. During my studies I was actively involved in the activities of ELSA Latvia and spent two study terms abroad, thus broadening my horizons.
