Commission publishes Omnibus I Directive revising EU sustainability reporting and due diligence rules

The Directive (EU) 2026/470 has been published in the Official Journal, amending the CSRD and CSDDD frameworks to significantly narrow their scope and reduce administrative burdens for companies. Under the revised rules, sustainability reporting obligations will apply mainly to large undertakings exceeding EUR 450 million turnover and 1,000 employees, while due diligence duties will apply only to very large companies, reflecting a substantial recalibration of EU sustainability requirements.
