    Programme of the 2025-2026 season

This year, Sorainen Student Academy is all about exploring how lawyers create real impact. Our theme “Step Into the Story. Shape the future.” is about you – how the skills and mindset you develop today will influence not only your career but also the world around you.

One of the core focuses of this season is business development and personal branding – two essential skills for any lawyer wanting to stand out and build a meaningful career. Why? Because being a great lawyer is not only about knowing the law; it’s also about how you build trust, grow relationships and present yourself as a professional others want to work with.

At Sorainen, these skills have been crucial to our success over the past 30 years. Strong personal branding and smart business development have helped us expand, earn client trust and create lasting change in the market. Now, we want to share that experience with you.

Through workshops, teamwork and real legal cases, you’ll discover how lawyers make a difference every day. By learning how to combine legal expertise with business and personal skills, you’ll be preparing yourself to join the next generation of changemakers in the legal world.

Selected participants will have access to

    • Engaging local workshops dedicated to specific legal fields. The interactive sessions are packed with practical examples, valuable legal insights and real-life experiences from practising lawyers.

Feedback from Sorainen Student Academy alumni

Our team puts a lot of effort to make sure the program is exciting, valuable, and unforgettable for all selected participants. But don’t just take our word for it—here’s what the Sorainen Student Academy graduates have to say:

    Here’s some more feedback:

The Sorainen Student Academy lectures were a good addition to my daily life. Every other week, I was able to gain extra knowledge about different fields of law, such as tax, intellectual property, and IT rights, in a relaxed and informal environment. I also had the opportunity to enjoy a really good slice of pizza while there! The lecturers, who are professionals in their fields, shared their personal experiences, which helped me decide what my interests in law were. These realisations helped me later when I applied for an internship at Sorainen offered by the Academy. Now, the challenges of the internship are never-ending, but I enjoy them, and the benefits make up for it. I highly recommend applying to Sorainen Student Academy to hear about the practical side of the law from passionate professionals!

    Agnese Jākobsone, Latvia

During my time at Sorainen Student Academy, I gained valuable insight into what everyday work at a law firm looks like and saw how the legal concepts I study at university come to life in real cases. The lectures also introduced me to practice areas I had barely encountered before and helped me to better understand where my interests lie. For me, SSA wasn’t just about expanding my knowledge, it guided me in making more informed decisions about my future. Moreover, SSA opened the door for me to become a Sorainen team member myself, which made the experience even more meaningful. So for anyone curious about their path in the legal world, SSA offers a valuable opportunity to gain perspective and a sense of direction.

    Annija Kuzma, Latvia

Taking part in Sorainen Student Academy gave me a closer look at how a large law firm works, allowed me to connect with great lawyers and gain insight into their career paths. I found it especially interesting to explore niche areas of law that we don’t usually cover at university, which further strengthened my motivation to study law. On top of that, the Academy was a great way to meet students who shared my goals and went on to become friends.

    Ugnė Gabrielė, Lithuania

I would recommend joining Sorainen Student Academy because it is a unique opportunity to get an inside look at one of the strongest law firms in the Baltic States. The programme provided me with practical legal knowledge that we often don’t get in university lectures. It is also a great opportunity to establish professional contacts with experienced lawyers and like-minded students who could later become colleagues. Finally, participation in the academy helps to strengthen your skills and to prepare you for a career in law, as the Sorainen Student Academy is not just about lectures, but also the regional project, networking, and so much more.

    Povilas Virbašius, Lithuania

Sorainen Student Academy is a great way to gain your first insight into the practical side of the legal profession and understand what lawyers actually do on a daily basis. Each seminar focuses on a specific area of law, making it an excellent opportunity to explore different fields and discover what truly interests you. You might be surprised! In addition, throughout the year, you’ll get to meet practising lawyers at Sorainen and fellow law students, to work together and to grow your network without even realising it.

    Kelly Kallaste, Estonia

I recommend applying to the SSA because it gives you the opportunity to learn about topics that aren’t taught at university from top legal experts, which could open a door to interesting challenges and opportunities in the future. The lawyers and legal professionals who conduct the seminars are more than happy to answer all your questions and even stay to chat and share experiences after the seminar ends.
