Fintech Breakfast: Banking Licence for Fintechs in Latvia, Vol.2.
On 9 April, Sorainen together with Fintech Latvia Association invites you to the second Fintech Breakfast event of 2026 – Banking Licence for Fintechs in Latvia, Vol.2.
The first session brought together a full room of fintech leaders, regulators and industry experts, highlighting the growing interest in Latvia as a jurisdiction for regulated financial services businesses. It also confirmed that recent developments in the legal framework, including the introduction of the new specialised credit institution licence, have sparked wider discussion about banking licence opportunities in Latvia more broadly.
We are pleased to continue that discussion and address many of the practical questions raised by the industry. This session will explore the bank licensing landscape in Latvia in a broader sense – including available licensing routes, regulatory expectations, supervisory approach, key legal and governance considerations, and practical experience from market participants in the region.
