Paris Arbitration Week: An overview of Internationally Ascending Arbitral Seats

Place: Paris, France
Time: 8:30-10:30, March 29, 2023
Working language: English

This session, hosted by Paris Arbitration Week, is an opportunity to explore some of the lesser known arbitral seats, how they have been evolving in their approach to international commercial arbitration and why parties should consider these seats alongside some of the more established seats such as London and Paris. The session will explore how courts are approaching arbitration and how certain jurisdictions are choosing to distinguish themselves from others. Those distinctions will, in turn, allow attendees to consider and discuss the evolutions that they might like to see in their own jurisdictions.

Maria Pihlak, partner and head of the international arbitration sub-practice, participates in the session as a guest speaker.
