About me

I am an assistant lawyer at Sorainen in the Finance & Insurance team, working mainly in finance law. I support colleagues with a wide range of finance-related matters, including securities, investment firms and funds, authorisations, fintech, and crypto-asset service providers. I am particularly interested in finance law and capital markets, which I explore further through personal investing. In addition, I have gained practical experience in finance law through over a year of part-time work alongside my bachelor’s studies.

According to Art. 40 (3) of the Bar Association Act, lawyers do not provide legal services. Lawyers are assisting the attorneys.

Professional highlights

Commitment to continuous learning. I am dedicated to ongoing learning and self-development beyond the university curriculum. I have attended two ELSA Summer Law Schools – one focused on banking and finance, the other on business law. I also completed the Sorainen Student Academy, where I gained insights into advanced legal topics and improved my legal writing and argumentation skills through a regional competition. In addition to formal programmes, I actively seek out seminars relevant to my field, have participated in job shadowing at law firms and banks, and successfully completed the LEXAM student competition.

Supporting future law professionals. I am passionate about creating a better environment for fellow aspiring law students. I served on the board of ELSA Estonia for two years, organising events, seminars and lectures, and led the team behind my faculty’s Christmas celebration. In my second year, I took on the role of treasurer, managing bookkeeping, processing invoices, and securing sponsorships to support ELSA’s mission of enriching legal education beyond the classroom. I have also contributed to improving the study environment at my university through a year on the student representative body, and continue to take initiative in organising events and networking opportunities that strengthen student life.

Passionate interest in law. Resolving legal matters is a genuine passion of mine. I am committed to practical learning by gaining work experience alongside my studies and by pursuing self-development beyond the curriculum. I enjoy expanding my understanding of the finance sector and finance law not only through academic work but also by investing, staying informed about industry developments, and seeking out learning opportunities beyond the classroom. I intend to use my time at university to contribute to legal research, for example, by writing my bachelor’s thesis on the regulatory framework of crypto-assets. My goal is to gain international experience by continuing my master’s studies within the EU – a dream supported by being awarded a scholarship from InFTF.

Effective work systems, technology, communication and client focus. I enjoy creating organised systems to work efficiently and make the best use of my time, and I value clear communication and feedback with colleagues. I am always on the lookout for technological solutions that improve my workflow, and I focus on serving clients’ interests – a skill developed in the service sector and now applied in legal services to ensure client needs are always prioritised.
