Sorainen associate Olga Solovyanchik contributed to the 2020 edition of the Energy Investment Risk Assessment – a report by the Energy Charter Secretariat evaluating the investment climate in the energy sector in 30 countries from all over the world. For the third year in a row, Belarus’ overall risk level was identified as low. The risk assessment was made in the areas of breach of state obligations, discrimination between foreign and domestic investors, and unpredictable policy and regulatory change.
