Shared Mission – our commitment to the Baltics

We have launched applications for the 2026 edition of Shared Mission – our annual pro bono programme that provides selected organisations with tailored legal and tax support worth up to EUR 100,000, delivered by expert teams across Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.[AS2]

Sorainen_Eva Berlaus“Through Shared Mission, the only structured programme of its kind in the Baltics, we support purposedriven organisations that are shaping the region’s future. Launched in 2020 in response to the COVID19 crisis, Shared Mission has become a core part of our sustainability strategy and is now run annually. To date, the programme has supported more than 50 impactdriven projects across the Baltics and we are looking forward to increasing this number this year,” comments managing partner Eva Berlaus.

Doing good knows no borders

This year’s theme, “Doing good knows no borders”, signals a deliberate focus on organisations preparing to expand beyond just one of the Baltic countries, or to scale internationally. Our programme is open to both for-profit and non-profit organisations, provided they are driven by a clear social, environmental, or innovation-led mission.

Purpose-driven organisations often face complex legal and tax challenges, without having the resources to manage them. This year, our pro bono initiative supports teams that do good and are aiming for cross-border expansion. By removing barriers, we intend to help them grow and strengthen prosperity across the Baltic region. If your work combines real intent with real impact, and your ambitions don’t stop at the border, we’d like to hear from you.

Support is customised for each recipient and may include advice on regulatory matters, contracts, intellectual property, privacy and data protection, tax planning, corporate structuring and other topics. Our aim is to help organisations clear legal hurdles, strengthen operational readiness, and build stakeholder confidence, so they can focus on growing their impact.

The areas we are focusing on this year

This year, we welcome applications from organisations working across a range of areas, including energy, life sciences and healthcare, defence and dual-use technologies, technology and innovation, social impact and inclusion, education, and climate and the environment, among others.

From defence tech to health innovations – some of the organisations we have supported

Over the years, we have supported organisations across a range of sectors. We helped Broswarm, a NATO-recognised defence tech startup, protect its technology and prepare for international growth. We worked with Synbase to launch a medical database for doctors in a safe and compliant way, and with Mindletic to sort out its obligations to users and handle their data properly. We supported Memby/Digiklase, an online education platform, with its data, content rights, and tax structure. We helped Local Ocean protect its sustainable aquaculture innovations, and advised SelfDiagnostics through investment and acquisition processes, among many others.
