About me
As a member of the Finance and Insurance team, I support attorneys with a diverse range of matters, including financial services, insurance, FinTech and AML/CFT compliance. Moreover, I am immersed in sustainability and ESG matters.
According to Art. 40 (3) of the Bar Association Act, lawyers do not provide legal services. Lawyers are assisting the attorneys.
Professional highlights
Sustainable finance. I have been following the ESG trend for many years now and have written a hefty amount of research papers on the regulatory developments of the financial sector within the EU, i.e. on the integration of the sustainability considerations in the investor protection field. As many organisations are just starting on a sustainability journey, I aim to provide assistance in understanding and complying with sustainability-related regulatory developments.
European Union and international law. Due to completing my LL.B. in the Netherlands, I have received comprehensive academic training in different fields of European Union and international law. Thus, I have an understanding of the content and functioning of international and European law in the context of its development, and also of its application in an international, public, private economic, or policy-making, environment. Moreover, prior to joining Sorainen, I trained in the legal departments of different Estonian ministries in order to gain a better understanding of how the state interacts with these fields of law and integrates them within the national legal order.
