Professional highlights

Arbitration expert. I possess wide experience in high-profile international commercial and investment arbitration, including in the sphere of IT / IP uniquely for the local market. I have represented clients in arbitration cases at the world’s top arbitration institutions: ICC (Paris), SCC (Stockholm), VIAC (Vienna), LCIA (London) and regularly plead in the IAC at the BelCCI (Belarus). Unique experience and wide practice in recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards is also one of my key advantages.

Data protection. This is the topic I have been most interested in and working with, both from changing local rules and from an international perspective, such as GDPR applicable to business having roots in Belarus.

IP&IT focused. TMT clients trust me with their most complex matters within this sector. I have handled dozens of issues for clients related to IP protection, legal due diligence of IT business within companies and under different types of agreements, including cross-border agreements for software development and IP rights transfer, as well as IP rights protection in employment relations.

Regulatory in IT, Media, Telecom and Gambling. I am familiar with special regimes available for IT companies and handle different matters for those companies that wish to enter our market, as well as residents of the High-Tech Park, including IT related tax matters, new crypto regulations and blockchain projects. High-scale projects in the gambling industry and media sphere are also in my portfolio. My experience includes full-scale assistance to a foreign telecom operator on initiating their telecom business in the complex Belarus environment.

Background. In addition to being a cum laude alumnus of the Law Faculty of the Belarusian State University and a three-time winner of the Legal Olympiad awarded by the Presidential Fund for Supporting Talented Youth, I also passed the Swedish Institute Management Programme (Stockholm) and the Cyberlaw Programme at the High School of Economics (Moscow). Lecturing for law students in Belarusian universities also features among my professional experience, as well as coordinating the Sorainen Students Academy. I have also been recognized by top international directories such as the Legal 500 and Who’s Who Legal.
