I am a member of the Dispute Resolution & Risk Management practice group. Previously, I was part of the firm’s Tax practice group, where I assisted attorneys with issues concerning tax and corporate law, as well as other legal matters.
According to Art. 40 (3) of the Bar Association Act, legal assistants do not provide legal services. Legal assistants assist the attorneys.
Passion for challenges. Considering it important to continuously broaden my horizons in both legal matters as well as other interesting fields, I have honed my skills at Tallinn University, the French Institute of Estonia, ELSA, in a well-known Estonian translation bureau, as well as at the University of Cambridge where I completed the course “International Politics in the Global Age”. Before joining Sorainen, I interned with the firm’s Real Estate & Construction team as well as the Tax team, and graduated from the Sorainen Student Academy. In 2019, I participated in an Estonian moot court competition.
Knowledge of option programmes. In a short period of time, I have gained a lot of experience in the field of derivatives, such as drafting option agreements (including phantom option agreements). I find it exciting to expand my knowledge in this area, since option programmes have not yet been exhaustively regulated in Estonian law.
Interest in criminal law. My other field of interest is criminal law, especially issues concerning white collar crime. In search of deepening my knowledge, I took several courses during my BA studies which focused on organised crime and offences against property.
