About me

Viktorija is a head of the Energy & Utilities sector group in Latvia. She provides consultation to energy sector clients on legal matters, and has extensive experience of legal perspectives on greenfield energy project development. Viktorija performs analysis of energy projects for the benefit of investors and is an experienced specialist in M&A transactions in the field of energy, as well as other energy industry challenges (state aid, operation and maintenance contracts, etc.).

She is the author of a book on the legal aspects of ensuring natural gas supply security in the European Union, as well as one of the co-authors of the chapter about Latvia of “Energy Law in Europe” (Oxford University Press), and continues to improve her professional knowledge in this field.

In the “IFLR 1000 Project development” rankings, the only one that evaluates energy and infrastructure projects in Latvia, Viktorija is placed in Tier 1 as part of the Sorainen team, and she is identified as an expert consultant.

Real estate industry challenges. Much of my legal practice is devoted to real estate purchase, sale and mortgage transactions, leasing and management issues and matters related to the legal process in the construction field.

Broad perspective. I provide legal advice on immigration law and commercial law issues and have participated in various merger and acquisition transactions.
