Government Relations

Our Government Relations team has the specific knowledge needed in each case, from banking and finance to competition and regulatory, environment, manufacturing and retail. Our clients appreciate our willingness to contribute to the public dialogue, not shying away from raising issues important to society. If you need to make your voice heard or to initiate a constructive dialogue with stakeholders, contact us for straightforward advice. Essentially our clients receive a 3-in-1 service – legal expertise, communication and representation in circles of government. Key people in our team come from a public sector background and have experience on the highest level of the sector’s inner workings.

A fair balance

We are firm believers in a healthy equilibrium and have helped clients in various government relations cases. We have successfully advised several clients in relation to the legal framework of the sharing economy and car-sharing in all three of the Baltic countries. Our lawyers have represented clients in legal proceedings before the European Commission and authorities regarding the government’s plan to impose a tax on sweetened beverages and advised clients regarding restrictions on alcohol sales proposed by the Estonian authorities.

Code of Conduct

Legislation and policy decisions impact businesses and the general public. Our team helps clients, to the extent permissible under applicable law, to achieve changes in the law or vice versa – to help maintain the existing law and regulations unchanged. In doing so, we adhere to our Code of Conduct.
