Sorainen is playing an active part in a new joint project promoting alternative dispute resolution among young people in Belarus – Young Alternative Dispute Resolution Belarus (YADR Belarus).

The project is being launched by the BILA Association – a non-commercial body contributing to education and research, including in the field of alternative dispute resolution.

Sorainen partner Alexey Anischenko, head of Dispute Resolution at our Belarus office says: “We expect that YADR Belarus will bring together young practitioners, scholars and students, as well as creating an effective platform for professional networking, collaboration, sharing best practices and improving legal skills”.

Aliaksei Vashkevich, an associate with Sorainen, who became one of the first coordinators of the project, adds: “The new initiative should help to put all those who are starting or planning to start their career in alternative dispute resolution on the right path. The emergence of YADR Belarus is an acknowledgement of a developing legal society and dispute resolution culture in Belarus.

The first event organised under the aegis of YADR Belarus will be a workshop on legal education and careers in arbitration. The workshop will be held on 19 September 2019 as a satellite event of the Eastern European Dispute Resolution Forum (EEDRF).

Additional information about the YADR Belarus project and its first event is available via the link.

We encourage everyone interested in development of alternative dispute resolution to join the project.
