We advised Veriff, a leading Estonian digital identity verification firm, on its acquisition of technology provider Vespia.

For Veriff, which began as a startup, this marks a strategic move in expanding beyond individual identity verification and towards building a full-trust platform.

The deal will help Veriff meet the expectations of its global clients

Vespia is an innovative, AI‑driven, all‑in‑one Know Your Business (KYB) platform. Internationally, it operates mainly in the Baltic States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Bangladesh and Canada, and is preparing to expand into Africa.

“KYB services have historically been slow, manual and inefficient. We don’t want to improve the process step by step – we want to redesign it entirely,” said Kaarel Kotkas, founder and CEO of Veriff. “With Vespia, we can do this far better than ever before, offering a real‑time, end‑to‑end KYB journey from a single platform built to Veriff’s global standards.”

As part of the transaction, the Vespia team will also join Veriff. Veriff will begin integrating Vespia’s technology, aiming to make it available on its platform by mid‑2026.
