As a senior associate in the firm’s Competition & Regulatory practice group and head of the Technology, Media & Telecommunications sector group in Estonia, I deal with a range of matters mostly relating to IP, IT & telecommunications.
A wide range of competencies. As a member of the firm’s Competition & Regulatory practice group, I deal with a wide range of matters spanning regulatory compliance, intellectual property, data protection, and commercial contracts, amongst others. I am most interested in novel disruptive technologies and making sure legal matters help, not hinder innovative companies.
Understanding business needs. I have been involved in interdisciplinary projects such as the film and media law summer school at the University of Łódź and am continuously trying to deepen my knowledge of technology, media, and entertainment matters on a practical level. Understanding business and the technologies behind products and services gives me a better grasp of clients’ business and helps me offer actionable advice on complicated legal matters clearly and concisely. Having advised both established FAAMG companies and local Estonian tech startups, I understand clients’ needs at every step of their journey to becoming a unicorn.
Intellectual property covered. I take a special interest in intellectual property law, having researched the use of trademarks in audiovisual works and the exercise of copyright in the context of disruptive audiovisual content distribution technologies during my bachelor’s and master’s studies. In addition to audiovisual content matters, I enjoy legal puzzles related to the intersection of technology and intellectual property
