Private equity firm Livonia Partners has sold its majority stake in Glassense, the leading Baltic glass manufacturer, to Barrus.

Kaido Veske, Partner at Livonia Partners, commented: “Barrus has already been involved in glass manufacturing for some time, and their long-standing experience in the wood sector – combined with their growing know-how in glass – positions them well to take the company even further.”

Glassense is the largest producer of insulated glass units, façades, and interior glass solutions in the Baltics and Nordics. The company was formed in 2022 through the merger of Klaasimeister and Baltiklaas, at which point Livonia Partners became the majority shareholder and Barrus a minority shareholder.

Livonia Partners is a pan-Baltic private equity investment firm currently investing from a EUR 157 million fund. The firm’s Estonian portfolio includes companies such as Telema, Bestair, Scoro, and Wildix.
