We advised Verge HealthTech Fund on leading a EUR-2.8-million funding round for the UK-Estonian startup Lifeyear. The investment will support the launch of Lifeyear’s remote patient management platform, delivering at-home digital cardiovascular care at selected UK hospitals, GP practices and virtual wards.
“Lifeyear’s combination of clinical rigour and scalable technology makes it stand out. As a fund investing in impactful health tech startups globally, we’re excited to back a team poised to shape digital cardiovascular care,” commented Carl Nicholas Ng, general partner at Verge HealthTech Fund and lead investor for the round.
According to Siim Saare, founder and CEO of Lifeyear, the funding marks a pivotal step forwards in the company’s mission to reduce the global burden of cardiovascular disease.
In addition to Verge HealthTechFund, the round included a deep-tech grant from the Estonian government, as well as investments from Tilia Impact Ventures, PurposeTech, and Estonian angel investors.
