We advised SafePAS on closing their first investment round at EUR 700,000. The funds will be used to accelerate the market launch of Drug Hunter, a game-changing portable drug detection analyser for onsite use, as well as other next-gen tools.
Backing from Estonia and beyond
In the investment round, investors from across Europe contributed Securetec Detektions-Systeme from Germany; the Estonian Business Angels Network, PurposeTech from the Czech Republic; BSV Ventures from Lithuania; and Beamline Accelerator, which supports early-stage cleantech startups in the Baltics and Nordics.
Drug Hunter was developed in collaboration with the Estonian police and won the Europol Innovation Award in 2023. According to Europol, Drug Hunter has the potential to revolutionise drug testing practices and enhance public safety.
As well as being portable it offers, thanks to cutting-edge technology, lab-grade precision and cost-effective solutions for drug detection. It can detect in saliva 97% of all of the wide range of existing drugswithin minutes on the spot for a fraction of the cost of existing products.
