Professional highlights

Regulatory Compliance and AML. I have been actively involved in the prevention of money laundering both in the private sector and at the national level, participating in the preparation of the 2020 national money laundering risk assessment as a member of the fintech working group. I would like to continue to share my knowledge in this area in order to actively contribute to the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing in Estonia.

Seeing both sides of the coin. Having worked as an in-house lawyer, I know how to approach various issues from the company’s point of view and offer legal advice that takes into account business interests as much as possible, while thinking broadly about solutions that would bring the greatest commercial benefits but still comply with applicable law. I have a good understanding of the relationship between business and law.

Financial sector innovation. I have ample experience in the field of loan crowdfunding, where I have been exposed to many different areas and topics of law, including financial law, company law, and debt and property law issues. I have contributed to resolving legal issues related to the crowdfunding of mortgage-backed loans and the cross-border provision of crowdfunding services in different countries, including consulting on the expansion into new markets.

Detailed approach. It is very important for me to help clients as efficiently as possible. I always want to have a personal and detailed approach to tasks and at the same time, keep a sense of the bigger picture with everything I do.

Passion for ESG. I am interested in ESG and have been following the trends in this sector. I would like to assist clients in complying with ESG requirements, as well as raise greater awareness among entrepreneurs. I believe following ESG principles is essential for the long-term success of all businesses.
