Sorainen advised Linna Ekraanid on the sale of the remaining 50% of its shares to Ekspress Grupp. In 2016 Sorainen advised Kindel Reklaam, Unicorpo and Trend on the sale of their 50% shareholding in Linna Ekraanid to Ekspress Grupp.

The purpose of the first acquisition was to create preconditions for Ekspress Grupp to set off a new business line, thereby enlarging the group’s business areas portfolio. Ekspress Grupp had an obligation to acquire the remaining 50% shares of the company in 2019.

Linna Ekraanid is a fast-growing outdoor media company that builds and operates digital outdoor screens. The company started installing digital screens in 2010 and currently has 29 digital screens across Estonia.

Ekspress Grupp is the leading media group in the Baltic States. Its key activities include web media content production, newspaper and magazine publishing and provision of printing services in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

The Sorainen team supervised by partner Paul Künnap advised the sellers during all phases of the transaction, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents.
