Sorainen team advised DLA Piper Norway, acting for the Norwegian Seafood Council, on a complex trademark licence agreement covering multiple jurisdictions. The Norwegian Seafood Council is owned by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries of Norway, which is the world’s second-largest exporter of seafood. The licensed trademark was the logo “Seafood from Norway”, which people might have seen on fish products. Over several months of work on this project our team provided the client with comprehensive consultation regarding the localisation of the agreement and related matters. Senior associate Marina Golovnitskaya and associate Yauheni Budchanka were responsible for this project.
