On 1 May 2023, Eglė Venskūnienė was appointed the new chief operating officer (COO) at Sorainen. She is taking overall charge of Sorainen operations and will work together with the firm’s managing partner Laimonas Skibarka.

Eglė, who joined Sorainen from Danske Bank Lithuania, is based at Sorainen Lithuanian office. Responsible for firmwide business services and regional integration, she will also be a member of the Sorainen management team.

Eglė has over 15 years of professional experience working in financial services and healthcare technology companies in senior management positions. Most recently, Eglė worked as transformation director and head of project management at Danske Bank Lithuania. Eglė holds a master’s degree in software engineering from the University of Oxford and a master’s degree in business administration and management from Vilnius University.

With her leadership skills and strong background in technology and business transformation, Eglė will further strengthen innovation efforts at Sorainen. Innovation is one of the firm’s strategic priorities, and for several years in a row, Sorainen has been recognised among the most innovative law firms in Europe. In 2022 Sorainen took the 22nd position on The Financial Times European Innovative Law Firms list and was shortlisted in five categories in The Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Awards Europe.
