About me

I am one of Estonia’s most recognised experts in sports law. As a lawyer specialising in dispute resolution, I am drawn to complex and multi-layered civil cases.

My background combines in-depth academic expertise with hands-on experience representing clients in cross-border disputes, including arbitration and matters involving EU law. I believe that a truly great lawyer is not only a strong legal expert, but also someone who can navigate between different areas of law and think beyond the obvious.

Professional highlights

Sports law and arbitration. Dedicated to providing both practical and academically grounded solutions for clients in the sports sector. Experience includes advising sports federations, club representatives, coaches, and athletes, as well as successfully representing them in various disputes, including disciplinary and anti-doping matters. Drafted a range of legal documents such as statutes, coaching agreements, athlete support contracts, and demand letters.

In addition to practical experience, I have a strong and unique academic background in Estonia – a specialised LL.M. degree in International Business and Sports Law obtained at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.

International engagement and contribution to the sports community. I am committed to contributing to the work of sports organisations both in Estonia and internationally. I serve on the Disciplinary Committees of Tennis Europe and the Estonian Tennis Association, where I have dealt with sports disputes also as an impartial adjudicator.

As a Board Member of the Estonian Gymnastics Federation, I am able to combine legal expertise with organisational management and strategy. I also value my role as an arbitrator in the International Sports Arbitration Moot Court competition.

European Union Law and International Experience. Committed to broadening perspectives and developing skills in an international context. Represented the University of Tartu at the EU Law Moot Court Competition – the first team from the university to reach the finals and present before judges of the Court of Justice of the European Union. Participated in international negotiation competitions, enhancing advocacy and cross-cultural negotiation skills.
