Yesterday Sorainen was proclaimed “National law firm of the year: Baltics” by the International Financial Law Review (IFLR).
This award highlights our work in the fields of finance and corporate law, which included the most challenging and innovative cross-border deals that we advised on in 2023. This is the ninth time we have received this recognition.
Some of the complex cross-border projects our team have been working on in the Baltic market include:
- Japan-based Roland DG and Lithuanian Veika established a joint venture – a rare case of investment from Japan in Lithuania, highlighting the increasing recognition of Lithuania’s potential in the global market;
- Eesti Energia signed a loan agreement to refinance a bond – a big step towards carbon neutrality, supporting the sustainability objectives of a highly important state-owned international energy company responsible for ensuring the security of electricity production in Estonia;
- NORD/LB finances the largest solar project in the Baltics – a project with an innovative legal element that underlines a strong commitment to the green transition;
- Nord Security attracts USD 100 million investment – a deal that showcases our commitment to providing strategic legal counsel in pioneering sectors, where navigating evolving and diverse regulations is a critical aspect of transactional success.
Our international Finance & Insurance, Corporate Advisory, and M&A and Private Equity teams are at your disposal, should you need advice on any legal issues you are facing.
