We advised Cyberbit, a US-based cybersecurity company with Israeli roots, on the acquisition of an Estonian-founded cyber training platform, RangeForce.

Moving towards a unified cybersecurity solution

“Yes, tools matter, but we are convinced that the most valuable, most impactful security asset is your team. They are the ones who make all the difference,” said Brian Pierce, CEO of Cyberbit.

While Cyberbit focuses on live exercises that simulate realistic cyberattacks, RangeForce offers cloud-based training for individuals and teams. By combining these two focus areas, the new entity has gained a strong international reach and is placed to offer one of most complete solutions on the market – starting with individual and team training, followed by readiness testing in realistic attack environments.

“By uniting two of the industry’s leading cyber range platforms, we believe customers will now have access to an unprecedented breadth of content and highly realistic readiness experiences built around the same tools and environments they rely on every day,” commented Darren Battistoni, managing director and co-head of technology opportunities at Charlesbank Capital Partners, Cyberbit’s financial sponsor.

The strengthening of their presence in both the US and Europe will also enable better service for governments and highly regulated sectors.
