About me

As an assistant lawyer with the firm’s Tax & Customs practice, I assist senior colleagues mainly with matters related to taxation, such as the optimal use of share options.

According to Art. 40 (3) of the Bar Association Act, lawyers do not provide legal services. Lawyers are assisting the attorneys.

Professional highlights

Teamwork enthusiast. I greatly value teamwork, as well as reliability – I put emphasis on being there for others and keeping my promises, getting the necessary done. I prefer to prepare in advance and complete tasks before a deadline necessitates a last-minute rush. During my studies, I participated in a legal writing competition run by ELSA. Working together with a fellow student we won the competition and gained a deeper understanding of how to successfully work in a team.

Internalising knowledge. I believe that it is crucial to make connections so as to form a deeper understanding of systems and learn how different aspects come together and connect. I was able to develop this important skill during the Sorainen Student Academy where I learned more about different fields of law, and continue using and developing this approach in my daily work.

Detail-orientation. Before joining Sorainen, I interned at the Estonian Ministry of Justice, largely focusing on checking legislation to ensure its high quality. Thanks to this, I learned a lot about legislative drafting and came to understand the importance of a systemic and methodical approach. By starting out with a sound structure I can support an argument or an entire law so as to ensure that it is a connected whole.
