We provided legal assistance to a well-known Latvian band, Astro’n’out, who were selected to compose a song – the anthem for the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship 2021, to be held in Riga, the capital of Latvia.
Essence of the legal assistance
We provided legal assistance, highlighting copyright issues regarding the rights of the song authors, performers and producers in relation to the composed song, to be used as the anthem of the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship 2021. We advised the client about the contract terms and conditions and assessed the contract contents. We aimed to ensure that the copyright and neighbouring rights of the band and its members would be sufficiently protected.
