Our Public Procurement & Public Projects team welcomes experienced professional Neringa Virbickaitė. She will be advising clients on public procurement matters and related disputes, as well as representing clients in disputes arising from the implementation or administration of EU-funded projects.
Laurynas Lukošiūnas, Sorainen partner and head of the Public Procurement & Public Projects team in Lithuania, comments: “Neringa is a well-known expert adhering to the highest professional standards. Specialising in the fields of public procurement, EU funding and related legal areas, she has led a number of complex projects, and represented the interests of institutions and the Lithuanian state in court as well as before national and international bodies. We can confidently say that Neringa will contribute to increasing the versatility of our team even more, which will help us to find the most efficient and precedent-setting solutions for our clients.”
Neringa worked at the institution administering the EU structural funds investment programmes, where she dealt with especially complex cases related to violations of public procurement legislation. She also has experience working at the contracting authority and advising the international Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on the development of a public procurement professionalisation strategy.
Neringa says: “I am delighted to be joining the Sorainen team. This step in my career will allow me to apply my knowledge in an even wider range of topics since I am not only well acquainted with public procurement from the public sector point of view, but also have many years of experience, allowing me to understand the challenges businesses are facing. I am bringing strong practical experience to the firm, which I am sure will be valuable in solving the issues that our clients face.”
