On 9 May this year, Ramona Miglāne, a recognised expert in the field of financial technology, joined Sorainen law firm, and will be leading the Finance and Insurance practice group together with partner Rūdolfs Enģelis. The expansion of the management group is being done with the aim of developing the fields of financial technology and financial startups, and providing more comprehensive services to clients in these industries.

So far during her professional career Ramona has held leading positions in financial practices at a number of law firms, as well as  gained hands-on experience at a leading commercial bank in Latvia. During her 22 years in the industry, she has also built a reputation as a recognised expert in the fields of mergers and acquisitions, as well as potential capital transactions.

Ramona Miglāne works as a board member at Indexo and Digital Mind; she also guest lectures at various universities and is a very creative and positive personality. Ramona is active in the startup industry, cooperating with the organisers of TechChill and holding the role of adviser to the Latvian Startup Association. She will also be supporting the Startup sector group at Sorainen Latvia in the future.

With Ramona Miglāne joining the team, the total number of Sorainen partners has reached 46, while the management team of Sorainen Latvian office will be made up of 12 partners from this point on.
