We provided pro bono assistance in establishing and registering the foundation Longevity Catalyst, a Latvian health innovation and venture-building platform founded by Jānis Berdigans. Working closely with Lauris Vidzis, Chairman of the Board of the foundation, we provided legal support from the very start of the platform’s journey.
For startups in health technology and biotech, the path from a scientific discovery to an international market is long and relies on close cooperation between science, medicine, business, and capital. A well-chosen legal structure and a clear foundation for working with partners, investors, and research institutions are an important starting point.
Longevity Catalyst
Longevity Catalyst helps turn scientific discoveries, clinical needs, and early-stage ideas into internationally competitive HealthTech, MedTech, BioTech, and longevity companies. The platform connects startups with hospitals, universities, research institutes, industry partners, investors, and international experts, giving them access to clinical validation, technology testing, mentoring, regulatory and commercialisation expertise, and capital.
Its ambition is to build a strong health innovation ecosystem in Latvia with reach across the Baltic and the New Nordics, while strengthening ties with the U.S., Israel, South Korea, and other international markets.
We are glad to be part of this initiative from the start and look forward to long-term cooperation in developing Latvia’s health innovation ecosystem.
