We advised Nordcurrent, one of the largest video game developers and publishers in Lithuania, on the acquisition of Swedish game studio River End Games. With this acquisition, the company aims to strengthen its position in the console and personal computer gaming segment.

“We are seeking to expand our activities beyond mobile games. We are also aware of the numerous innovations being introduced in the PC and console ecosystem. Together with River End Games, we will be able to expand our role in the growing market,” says Viktorija Trofimova, CEO of Nordcurrent.

The River End Games studio employs 17 game developers, who have previously worked on globally renowned AAA-class game series such as Battlefield, Need for Speed and Unravel.

This marks the third acquisition by Nordcurrent since its establishment in 2002. Previously, we provided consultation for the client’s acquisitions in Ukraine: in 2018, the company acquired the Odesa game studio Blam! Game Studios, and in 2021, RinGames from the city of Dnipro.
